Hi, my name is Dmitrii Kustov,

I’m the founder and Internet Marketing director at Regex SEO.

I keep running into people who are saying that they don’t need to do Organic Search Marketing or Search Engine Optimization for their business because their business is too niche, that no one would even search for their product or service on Google or any other search engine.

Really? Well, let me ask you this then – What did you do last time when you had a question about something, no matter how bizarre or unusual it was?

Did you go ahead and grab your favorite encyclopedia? Ha! What are books, right?

Did you call your grandpa to scoop from that well of wisdom? Stop kidding me, grandpa ain’t on Snapchat.
He doesn’t know how to “DM”.
You probably haven’t spoken to him since last Christmas or Thanksgiving!

I’m willing to bet that you grabbed your phone and googled your question! Sure, you might have asked Siri or Alexa, but where do you think they take the answers from? Oh yeah, search engines.

So, if you did that with YOUR last question, why wouldn’t other people do the same thing?

Google reports that they are getting 5 and a half BILLION searches per day! And yes, portion of those searches is related to the product or service your business is offering. No matter how niche it is.

So, I hope that we established you should be on Google.
Right?
but how?

Well, that’s where Search Engine Marketing, also referred to as Search Engine Optimization, comes in.

Let me tell you 3 simple tips about what you can do to add Search Engine Marketing to your business marketing strategy without breaking the bank:

  1. Tip #1 – Improve upon your competition.
Go to Google, type in your main service or product and your area (example would be “plumber in Houston”), and see who comes up on the first page. Go through top 10 results and see what they have in common. What type of content they have? What type of style elements they have? There is a reason those websites ARE on the first page of google.
So, take the best parts of your competitor websites and incorporate them into your own website. Your chances of being on the first page of a search engine will go up tremendously.

  2. Tip #2 – Turn everyday tasks into valuable content
We all know that providing valuable content is key to online success.
But we all have too many tasks on our hands and not enough time to do them all!
Let me tell you a secret – you are creating that content every day already! The problem is that you do not utilize it.
    What do I mean?
Well, There are the same questions being asked by your current and potential clients every day.
    Right?
So, do you have FAQ articles on your website? How about FAQ videos?
Have you written an email, which is closer to a novel? I bet you did! Use it! Turn it into a case study, a blog post, an article on your website!
Do you conduct in-person meetings where you give great presentation with slides, graphs and all? Why not record it and turn it into video content for your YouTube channel or a website page?
Do all those things and you will be able to direct your clients, potential buyers and online users to your website, converting them into website visits and those juicy, juicy leads.

  3. And finally, Tip #3 – Collaborate online
There is a term in the industry called “backlinks”. That’s when someone simply links to your website from their own website. Having these backlinks is very important, because they play a huge role in pushing your website to the first page of Google.
    How do you get them?
Collaborate! Find folks in your industry, make friends with them and create something together! It could be a blog post, it could be video content, it could be mutually hosted event – whatever you are best at.
And after that collaborative effort gets published online – simply ask to add a link to your website. That simple!

Well, that’s it folks, implement these tips, and you are going to be golden. Your website will be much closer to that sweet first page of google.
